Pay & Conditions Survey

First Music Contact and Performing Arts Forum, together with our partner arts resource organisations, are continuing our work to advocate for fairer, more sustainable careers across the cultural sector.

This December, we’re repeating our Pay & Conditions research, helping us build a clearer picture of the realities facing artists, arts workers, and organisations.

We expect the findings to again highlight the chronic under-resourcing of the sector but the more responses we receive, the stronger the evidence we can bring to Government, funders, and partners.

All responses are completely anonymous and will be reported only in aggregated form.  

The deadline for responses is  5pm on Friday 19th December 
The results will be published  early in the New Year. 

We are gathering reliable information on pay and conditions for employees, venues, independent artists and freelance arts workers. This means we will ask you about your income in 2024 so please have the information to hand.

Artists:  

  • If you see yourself primarily as an  artist / musician , please take the time to  complete this survey.

Companies: 

  • If you see yourself as mainly a company in music  manager, label, publisher, photographer, marketing / PR , promoter etc,  please take the time to  complete this survey.

Venues:  

  • If  you’re  involved in the running of a music venue,  please take the time to complete this survey.
