Regional Development Programme
RDP (Regional Development Programme) has been designed to support career development and opportunities for musicians all over Ireland.
In collaboration with local arts offices, we organise, free online panels and workshops, shaped by the needs of the artist.
We’re now in Stage 5 of the Regional Development Programme (RDP), focusing on musicians based in Dublin, specifically in Dublin Fingal, Dublin City Centre and Dublin South.
We are currently gathering input from artists in these areas to help shape the next round of free online panels, making sure they reflect the needs and interests of the local music community. These sessions are designed to support the professional development of musicians in each region.
In Stages 1 to 4, we hosted panels covering topics such as Artist Management, Media Outreach, Sync and Music Supervision, Record Labels, Social Media Marketing and more. These stages supported musicians based in Cork, Limerick, Cavan, Leitrim, Mayo, Carlow, Kilkenny, Waterford, Wexford, Clare, Kerry, Tipperary, Galway, Louth, Kildare, and Roscommon.
If your county has not been included yet, there is no need to worry. We are continuing to expand the programme and plan to reach all counties in Ireland in future stages.
Our Aim
Panels & Workshops
We wish to better understand your current needs and aspirations as musicians and ascertain what stage you are at in your career. We will then use this information to inform our own work and to advocate locally and nationally for the things you need to progress your career. We will also use this information to develop a series of professional development workshops on themes nominated by you which you can access for free as part of the upcoming program of activity with your arts office. This is a musician-first project and we want to find out what you need to get your music career off the ground and/or to take the next step.
What are the practical things you need? – and what kind of advice/information would be useful to you?
